  • Institute for Fisheries Resources – Non-profit organization dedicated to the study, protection and enhancement of both marine and anadromous biological resources on the Pacific coast of the United States and Canada.
  • International Council for the Exploration of the Sea – An intergovernmental organization made up of 19 member countries concerned with marine and fisheries science.
  • Nordic Fisheries Institutes – The objectives of NNF are to encourage extended collaboration between the laboratories in the Nordic region and to develop the electronic network between research laboratories within the area of fish processing technology (in Norwegian).
  • Passive Integrated Transponder (PIT) Information System – Our mission is the collection and distribution of PIT Tags and PIT Tag data for the Columbia River Basin.
  • Regional Mark Information System – Information on the mark, release, and catch of Pacific salmonids throughout the Pacific region involving the Coded Wire Tag (CWT) marking project.
  • SteamNet – Meeting the data needs of the Northwest Power Planning Council’s Fish and Wildlife Program.

Canada

  • Fisheries and Marine Institute of Memorial University of Newfoundland – Provides a range of fisheries and marine programs at both non-degree and degree levels
  • Fisheries Research & Development Corporation – Responsible for: planning, funding and managing fisheries research and development programs, and facilitating the dissemination of the results of research and development.

Denmark

  • Danish Institute for Fisheries Research – Carries out research and development in the handling, storage, preservation and other industrial utilization of fish.

Greece

  • Institute of Marine Biology of Crete- An independent research organization created by the Greek Ministry of Industry, Energy, Research and Technology.

  • The French Institute of Research and Exploitation of the Sea- A French government research agency, established in 1984 (in French & English).
